1. Independent Installer & Non-Affiliation
Core Security Cameras is an independent, locally owned commercial surveillance system design and installation company. We are not an authorized distributor, subsidiary, joint venture partner, agent, or official representative of any camera, hardware, or software manufacturer (including but not limited to Hikvision, Dahua, Axis Communications, Hanwha Vision, Ubiquiti UniFi, Verkada, Bosch, or Honeywell) or central monitoring company, unless explicitly stated under a separate written agreement. All product names, logos, brands, trademarks, and registered trademarks referenced on this website or in our quotes remain the property of their respective owners and are used strictly for system identification and compatibility purposes.
2. Surveillance & Crime Prevention Limitations
Security camera systems, video recording devices (NVRs/DVRs), and access-point monitoring hardware are designed as visual deterrents, forensic documentation tools, and operational aids. The installation of a camera system does not guarantee crime prevention, intrusion prevention, theft elimination, personal safety, or protection against catastrophic events. Core Security Cameras does not provide emergency dispatch or armed guard response services, and makes no representations that surveillance equipment will avert or deter unlawful behavior or unauthorized entry.
3. Compliance with Privacy & Surveillance Laws
The property owner, client organization, or authorized site manager is solely responsible for ensuring that all camera placements, directional angles, fields of view, and surveillance practices comply fully with all applicable federal, state, and municipal privacy laws, labor statutes, and wiretapping regulations. This includes, without limitation: providing conspicuous public notices or window signage where legally required; refraining from placing cameras in designated private areas such as restrooms, locker rooms, employee changing quarters, or tenant residences; and complying with state-specific one-party or two-party consent mandates regarding audio recording. Core Security Cameras disclaims any liability arising from the unlawful or non-compliant positioning or operation of cameras by the client.
4. Footage Ownership, Custody & Data Security
All recorded video feeds, audio clips, snapshots, and archived surveillance logs captured by installed systems are owned exclusively by the client. Core Security Cameras does not monitor, archive, inspect, or retain client footage on its servers, nor do we access local recorders or cloud accounts except when explicitly authorized by the client to perform scheduled maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting, or incident clip export. The client is solely responsible for establishing strong passwords, updating network access credentials, maintaining off-site backups, and securing local NVRs/routers from unauthorized internal or remote access.
5. Website Content & Price Estimations
All information, diagrams, equipment descriptions, and cost guidelines published on this website are provided for general educational and informational purposes only. Website content does not constitute a formal, binding contract or an offer to perform work. Final equipment specifications, camera layouts, network requirements, and fixed pricing are established only through an on-site walkthrough and a formal, signed written quote or work order.
6. Equipment Warranties vs. Installation Workmanship
Core Security Cameras provides a twelve (12) month workmanship warranty covering our physical cabling, mounting, and termination labor. Any hardware warranties for cameras, network switches, hard drives, or recorders are provided directly by their respective manufacturers. While we assist clients in administering manufacturer warranty returns and replacements during active service periods, we do not warrant equipment against manufacturer defects, hardware obsolescence, third-party software/firmware bugs, lightning strikes, severe power surges, vandalism, water damage exceeding IP ratings, or unauthorized third-party tampering.
7. Network Connectivity & Third-Party Service Dependencies
Remote viewing features, mobile app notifications, and cloud retention rely upon the client's on-site internet service provider (ISP), local network switches, firewall settings, and third-party cloud hosting platforms. Core Security Cameras is not liable for interruptions in remote viewing or alert delivery caused by ISP downtime, third-party cloud service outages, power interruptions, or client-side network configuration changes.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Core Security Cameras, its officers, employees, or contractors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages—including but not limited to loss of data, loss of video footage, loss of revenue, business interruption, or property damage—arising out of or in connection with the purchase, installation, maintenance, or failure of any surveillance system or reliance on website information.
